AMANDA E. HUDSON

VAN BUREN---Amanda E. Hudson, 87, died unexpectedly March 15, 2009 at a Caribou hospital. She was born in St. Leonard, N.B., Canada, Aug. 13, 1921, the daughter of Francis and Flavie (Devost) Gauvin. She had lived in Massachusetts for most of her life working as a registered nurse. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm Hudson of Van Buren; one daughter, Sandra Dwinells of Berlin, MA; one sister, Noella Gauvin and one brother, Antonio Gauvin, both of St. Leonard, N.B.; one grandson, Mark Dwinells and one great grandson, Mark Dwinells, Jr. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Rudolph, Zeno, and Celine. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, March 21, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be in the Grande Riviere Cemetery later this spring. Arrangements are a service of Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
